EXHIBIT A <br />Appendix <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />SOUTH MAIN CORRIDOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND INSPECTION <br />SERVICES <br />RFP NO.: 20-115 <br />INTRODUCTION / PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The City desires to engage a professional consultant to perform construction engineering services <br />for the South Main Street Corridor Project ("PROJECT"). The consultant shall provide three <br />individuals to act as Project Manager (PM), Inspector, and a Contract Administrator (CA), and <br />serve as an extension of City staff to assist in the overall delivery of this project, including <br />pre -construction tasks, managing construction and ensuring that the work is completed in <br />accordance with the contract documents, and project closeout and warranty phase. The <br />consultant team will report directly to the City's Construction Manager or his authorized <br />representative. City staff may assist in managing construction and will oversee the work of the <br />Project Manager, Inspector, and Contract Administrator. <br />The PROJECT is a combination of the following individual projects: <br />• 17-9001 South Main Street Corridor Improvements <br />• 18-6911 Main Street Rehabilitation from Edinger Avenue to First Street <br />• 20-6958 Main Street Rehabilitation from Warner Avenue to Edinger Avenue <br />• 19-6940 Main Street Rehabilitation from Dyer Road to Warner Avenue <br />• 21-6451 South Man Sewer Improvements <br />The general scope of the PROJECT includes but is not limited to the following: <br />• Pavement rehabilitation <br />• Enhanced PCC cross walks and intersections <br />• Decorative sidewalk extensions / bulb outs <br />• Lighting improvements <br />• Landscape / Irrigation <br />• Sewer main / lateral replacement <br />• Railroad Coordination <br />The estimated construction cost for the South Main Street Corridor project $9.5 million. The City <br />anticipates advertising construction bids concurrently with this RFP, and starting construction in <br />December 2020.
