Re-exams and Interims <br />payment is the Housing Assistance Payment (HAP). The average HAP for January 1, <br />2022 to March 31, 2022 was $1,353. <br />Production <br />HQS Inspections: At least once every two (2) years, <br />the Housing Authority must inspect each assisted-unit <br />to ensure it meets HUD’s Housing Quality Standards <br />(HQS) in compliance with the federal regulations. From <br />January 1, 2022 to March 31, 2022 a total of 207 <br />inspections and re-inspections of our assisted-units <br />were performed of which 20 inspections failed. Chart 5 <br />illustrates the number of inspections performed on a <br />monthly basis during the reporting period. <br />Recertifications / Interims: <br />Each year, the Housing Authority must re-certify every <br />assisted-family to verify the family is still eligible for <br />assistance. In addition, when a participant’s income <br />changes, an interim examination must be <br />performed. During the reporting period, a total of 709 <br />recertifications and interims were conducted. Chart 6 <br />illustrates the number of recertifications and interims <br />performed. <br />Other Change of Unit: <br />These actions are completed when a family moves to a different rental unit. Twenty (20) <br />change of unit actions were processed during the reporting period. <br />New Admissions: <br />This action is completed when a family is admitted to the HCV Program. Seventy six (76) <br />new admissions were processed during the reporting period. <br />End of Participation: <br />This action is completed when the family is no longer interested in participating in the <br />program, the family becomes deceased, the family is no longer eligible for the program, <br />or the family is terminated from the program due to program violations. Twenty-seven <br />(27) end of participations were processed during the reported period. <br />Expired Vouchers:
