3. Commercial Driver's License <br />Personnel in the classifications of Fleet Services Technician I, II, III, and Fleet <br />Services Supervisor, who maintain a valid State of California Commercial <br />Driver's License and are assigned to an area that requires the possession of <br />either a Class "A," or Class `B" license in the course and scope of their work, <br />shall be paid at a rate set five (5) salary rate ranges, which is approximately two <br />and one-half percent (2.5%) above their base monthly salary step. Effective <br />January 1, 2023, the pay differential in this provision shall be approximately <br />two and one-half percent (2.5%) above their base monthly salary step. <br />4. Motorcycle License <br />The City will reimburse employees in the classification of Fleet Services <br />Technician I, II or III for costs incurred for accredited motorcycle training <br />courses, testing and Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) fees associated with <br />obtaining the motorcycle (Ml) license. <br />Effective the first fill pay period following Council approval of this 2022-25 <br />MOU, incumbents in the classification of Fleet Equipment Technician II and <br />III who are assigned to perform repairs and maintenance of Police Motorcycles, <br />on a continuous and regular basis, who possess and maintain an (Ml) <br />motorcycle license, will be paid six hundred dollars ($600) per year paid each <br />pay period. <br />D. Notary <br />An employee that is required by a Department Head or their designee to perform <br />the duties of a Notary Public for the City, in addition to regular duties, shall be paid <br />a monthly differential of forty dollars ($40.00) for each full month of assignment. <br />The City will reimburse employees for costs incurred in association with obtaining <br />or maintaining a California Notary Public license with Department Head approval. <br />5.2 Lead Pay <br />Incumbents in any classification listed in this MOU who are regularly and continuously <br />assigned to perform lead supervisory responsibilities will receive lead pay compensation <br />at a rate set ten (10) salary rate ranges, which is approximately five percent (5.0%) above <br />their base monthly salary step. Effective January 1, 2023, the assignment pay differential <br />in this provision shall be approximately five percent (5.0%) above their base monthly <br />salary step. <br />An employee who has lead responsibilities as defined within the duties and responsibilities <br />of their classification shall not receive lead pay. <br />2022-2025 MOU City of Santa Ana & SEIU Full -Time Employees Unit Page 20 <br />
