ARTICLE IX <br />9.0 VACATION <br />9.1 Pu ose <br />It is the policy of the City to grant employees vacation leave in order to provide them with <br />a break in their regular work schedule and this purpose will be used as a guide in the <br />administration of the provisions of this article. <br />9.2 Accrual <br />A. Prorated Accrual in Year One <br />An employee who has completed less than one (1) year of service during the <br />calendar year shall receive a proportionate fraction in accordance with the amount <br />of service to their credit during the year; provided, however, no employee shall be <br />entitled to, or receive payment for, any vacation until they have completed six (6) <br />months of continuous service. <br />2022-2025 MOU City of Santa Ana & SEW Full -Time Employees Unit Page 45 <br />
