SCOPE OF WORK <br />II. SCOPE OF WORK <br />Contractor shall perform scope of work as set forth below and in accordance with <br />ATTACHMENT A, EXHIBIT I, EXHIBIT II and EXHIBIT III. <br />A. GENERAL DESCRIPTION <br />The City of Santa Ana Public Works Maintenance Services Division requires the services <br />of a quality general maintenance contractor to perform repairs to existing neighborhood <br />entry monuments and welcome sign monument locations throughout the City. The annual <br />contract budgeted amount is for a maximum of $150,000 and will operate on an as - <br />needed basis. The work under this agreement shall require furnishing of all necessary <br />materials, equipment and labor. Installation/construction of new monuments may be <br />included, but is not the primary focus of this project and would be considered an as -needed <br />service per quote. There are currently 50 neighborhood entry monuments and six (6) <br />welcome sign monuments throughout the City. <br />The initial contract shall be for one, two-year period with provisions for one (1) additional <br />two-year renewal option. All pricing shall remain firm for the initial contract period. Usage <br />is not guaranteed. Execution of a contract between the City and successful Contractor <br />does not guarantee work throughout the duration of the contract period. Numerous factors <br />will be evaluated by the City in its delivery of project and work assignments, including <br />available budget and City's needs. <br />B. SPECIFICATIONS <br />As determined necessary by the City, work will consist of repairing damaged monuments <br />with the same, or similar materials and updating the City logo and neighborhood names. <br />If similar materials are to be used, prior City approval is required. Type of work includes <br />but is not limited to, all of the following: repair mortar; reinstall rock/brick/paver; demolition <br />and reconstruction of dry stacked stone and boulder pilaster; concrete work; general <br />masonry work; removing, salvaging, welding or replacing ornamental metal works; <br />procuring and replacing signs, plaques, or decorative tiles; removing vegetation <br />around monuments; irrigation repairs; repairing/installing lighting; removing graffiti; and <br />disposal of construction debris. <br />The City has the option to purchase and provide materials. <br />All installation, repair and/or maintenance shall conform to Standard Specifications for <br />Public Works Construction (SSPWC) or as determined acceptable by the City. <br />`See Exhibit I Monument Examples and Typical Maintenance Repair Items <br />City of Santa Ana IFB No. 23-073 Page 10 of 26 <br />
