Instructional Facilities <br />Main Campus <br />The main campus consists of 63,000 total square feet. The two-story building provides classrooms, training <br />labs, a reception area, offices, dorms, and a cafeteria. We have a total of 4 classrooms. 2 on the first floor and <br />2 on the second floor. Each classroom has the capacity of 24 students. The classrooms are equipped with <br />student tables and chairs, whiteboards, instructor laptops, projectors, and internet. The hands-on lab <br />equipment is located in the bay/shop areas. Our simulated climbing towers are located outside. All indoor <br />areas provide appropriate lighting and heating/cooling systems. Restrooms are located on the first floor near <br />the dorm area, in the reception area, and in the cafeteria. The Faculty/Instructor offices are located on the <br />first floor. The Student Services office is in the reception area. The Career Placement Services Offices are <br />located on the second floor near the second floor classrooms. <br />There is currently no library located on our campus. Instructors provide supplemental reading materials <br />and/or refer students to resources on the internet on an as -needed basis. There is a public library available in <br />the community of Tehachapi for students interested in enriching their knowledge of subjects covered in the <br />program. All of our instruction is classroom and hands-on based with no requirement of resources outside of <br />the curriculum. <br />Maximum number of students for each course is as follows: <br />• A81007 —Renewable Energy and Communications Tower Technician Program (30 Days) <br />24 students <br />Student/Teacher Ratios are outlined in the course description (included in this catalog). <br />Admission Requirements <br />Standards for Admission: <br />• Must be at least 18 years of age. <br />• Must possess a high school diploma (or equivalent). All applicants must provide a copy of the <br />diploma during application process. Documentation may also be a copy of a GED, a high school <br />transcript, college transcript, or written certification by an authority for home -schooled students. <br />Additional admissions documentation required for students using their military education benefits are: <br />1. Veterans: Military transcript (JST), DD214, and Certificate of Eligibility (COE) <br />2. Active duty: Military transcript (JST) and Certificate of Eligibility (COE) <br />Students with special needs are asked to contact the Admissions Department to discuss any requests for <br />special accommodations, Individual assistance with enrollment will be provided. <br />The Airstreams program is taught in English and all student material is written in English. Airstreams does <br />not provide English -as -a -second language instruction, or English language services, Students must be <br />proficient in the English Language, including speaking, reading, and writing.
