City of Santa Ana <br />RFP 23-123 — On -Call Geotechnical Engineering Services <br />GEOCO v <br />CITY OF ANAHEIM ON -CALL MATERIALS TESTING, DEPUTY INSPECTION, & <br />ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA <br />Geocon is currently contracted with the City of Anaheim to provide materials <br />testing, geotechnical engineering including analysis and testing, <br />environmental assessments, and review of environmental reports. Some of <br />the projects we have performed services on for the City are as follows: <br />RESIDENTIAL STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, WILLOWBROOK AND <br />REFERENCE <br />City of Anaheim <br />200 S Anaheim Blvd, Ste 276 <br />Anaheim, CA 92805 <br />Lorenzo Rea, <br />Project Manager <br />(714) 765-6893 <br />Irea@anaheim.net <br />KEY PERSONNEL <br />Jelisa Thomas Adams, GE <br />PROJECT DURATION <br />May 2022 - Ongoing <br />RIVERDALE, GROUP 1 GEOCON FEE <br />Geocon is currently providing as -needed geotechnical, material testing, and $99,100 <br />inspection services during construction of pavement improvements in the <br />Willowbrook and Riverdale neighborhoods in Anaheim. The project entails <br />approximately 1,312,000 square feet of grind and overlay and 1,035,000 square feet of slurry seal. Work <br />which requires geotechnical and materials testing and inspection services for the project includes Asphalt <br />Concrete (AC) materials sampling and laboratory testing; batch plant inspection; AC materials / compaction <br />testing; providing proactive feedback to the City Project Manager and Contractor to identify areas that may <br />affect the paving operation and recommend alternatives to avoid potential delays; and maintaining effective <br />records of communication and material testing reports. <br />MISCELLANEOUS WATER VAULTS <br />Geocon is currently providing as -needed geotechnical and material testing and inspection services during the <br />Miscellaneous Water Vaults 10, 29, 49, & 94 (RCP 2020-17927) and 26, 33, and 55 (RCP 2021-18474) <br />capital improvement projects. The projects generally consist of the rehabilitation and/or abandonment of <br />seven total miscellaneous water vaults located in the City of Anaheim. The scope of work consisting of soils <br />/ aggregate inspection and compaction testing; asphalt concrete (AC) inspection, compaction testing, and <br />sampling; and structural or non-structural concrete observation and strength testing. Work which requires <br />geotechnical and materials and testing and inspection services are anticipated to include observation of <br />trench and excavation bottoms; observation as well as field and laboratory testing of soil and aggregate <br />material; observation as well as field and laboratory testing of asphalt concrete; observation and testing of <br />structural and non-structural concrete for pipe and elbow supports as well as curb and gutter; providing <br />proactive feedback to the City Project Manager and Contractor to identify areas that may affect the paving <br />operation and recommend alternatives to avoid potential delays; and maintaining effective records of <br />communication and material testing reports. <br />Geocon 2023-333 Page 21 August 28, 2023 <br />
