2. SCOPE OF SERVICES AND SCHEDULE <br />Work Plan for All Services Outlined in Attachment 1 (Scope of Work) <br />Scope of Services and Schedule <br />Kleinfelder understands that the City requires the services of a qualified firm to provide as -needed <br />geotechnical engineering and technical services for projects throughout the City on an as -needed basis. <br />All work is to be performed in accordance with The City of Santa Ana Municipal Code (SAMC), <br />professional Standards established by the City, and or federal, state, and local guidelines established in <br />the project. The services required may include the following types of work: <br />• Soil Classification and Analysis <br />• Material Testing <br />• Ground Water - Dewatering and Seepage <br />Control Analysis <br />• Seismic Stability <br />• Soil Liquefaction <br />• Slope Stability and Protection <br />• Construction Inspection <br />• Open and Braced Excavations (shallow) <br />• Grading and Site Clearing <br />• Pavement Design <br />• Foundation Design <br />• Retaining Structures - submerged and <br />partially submerged <br />• Fill Compaction <br />• Special Inspections <br />• Subsurface Geotechnical Investigation <br />• Infiltration Testing <br />As a full -service geotechnical engineering and materials testing and inspection firm, we routinely perform <br />all of the above -listed services, as well as field exploration, laboratory testing, and instrumentation. If <br />specialized work is required, Kleinfelder will employ the assistance of a subconsultant while remaining <br />the administrative liaison with the City. <br />Geotechnical Services Work Plan <br />In response to a request from the City, we anticipate following a Work Plan similar to the tasks listed <br />below. <br />Project Management Plan <br />Kleinfelder assigns only experienced and qualified project managers to oversee <br />performance of the work and has procedures for checking that our services are performed <br />in a competent, cost-effective manner. The project manager is involved from the beginning of the <br />assignment, specifically in the scope definition, budgeting, and negotiating phases, prior to the formal <br />notice -to -proceed. <br />The project management plan is prepared once Kleinfelder has received the formal notice -to -proceed. <br />The plan includes all tasks in the scope of work and assigns schedules for completion. The project <br />management plan will be submitted to the City for review within 15 calendar days unless an alternate <br />schedule has been approved. <br />Our lead project manager will also meet with the City project manager to initialize the project <br />expectations in terms of scope of services, schedule, budget, invoicing requirements, project review <br />meetings, and preparation of progress reports. The project manager will also be responsible for <br />reviewing addenda and clarifications provided. <br />Data Review/Utility Clearance <br />For this task, we will review geologic maps in the area of the project site. This is <br />anticipated to include readily available maps and reports available from public agencies <br />and in-house reports for projects in the area. We request that all available information identifying the type <br />and location of utility lines and other man-made objects beneath the proposed improvement areas to be <br />KLE/NFELOER Nrigh!
