I. INTRODUCTION / PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />Nature of Work: <br />The City of Santa Ana is seeking geotechnical engineering services. A detailed Scope of <br />Work is included in the Appendix of this RFP as Attachment I. <br />Number of Proposals and Signature: <br />Five (5) hard copies are required to accompany an electronic submittal of the complete <br />proposal package on PlanetBids. One of the hard copies shall be marked as "ORIGINAL" <br />and be signed by a company official with the power to bind the company, and <br />submitted to the City of Santa Ana. Please be explicit in identifying the appropriate <br />person with legal authority to bind the company. <br />The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) shall be limited to a maximum of (10) pages, which <br />may be double -sided (excluding front and back covers, section dividers and attachments <br />such as resumes, forms). Font size shall be minimum 11-point Arial. Proposal <br />exhibits shall be maximum I I" x 17". <br />Proposal Evaluation and Rating: <br />The criteria for evaluating the SOQ submitted will take the following items into <br />consideration: <br />• Firm/Team Experience <br />25% <br />• Understanding of Need <br />35% <br />• Relevant Project Experience <br />25% <br />• Schedule <br />10% <br />• References <br />5% <br />The City has established a proposal review committee to evaluate proposers based on the <br />response to this RFP, which includes adherence to outlined directions and format, and the <br />City evaluation criteria set forth above. A final score will be calculated for each <br />submitted proposal and used to rank the proposers. <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 23-123 <br />Page 4 <br />
