It shockingly supports the heinous
actions of the Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023. There is no equivalence between babies taken by terrorists as hostages to
prisoners convicted of violent crimes who are not in any way hostages; they are prisoners jailed for crimes. The proposed
resolution falsely claims ethnic cleansing, genocide, and apartheid. These are not realities and represent trumped up charges to
justify bigotry towards Jewish people.
Understandably, my hearts break at the loss of innocent lives in both Israel and Gaza, and it saddens me to witness the
worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. However, the true culprits who are guilty for this are the Hamas terrorists, who are to be
held accountable for deliberately putting innocent Palestinians in harm's way.
The proposed resolution dose not accurately present the facts, nor does it include condemnation of Hamas and its terrorist
1
