I urge you to reject the resolution <br />I feel discouraged and, quite frankly, disgusted by Santa Ana's willingness to consider this resolution. The vast majority of YOUR <br />OWN COMMUNITY is Latino and follows the Christian faith. I do not see how this resolution serves the interests of your own <br />constituents, most of whom have an indirect yet special connection to Israel because of their Christian faith. Christians, like Jews <br />and Muslims, should be equally protective of ensuring Israel is a safe and secure place, where people of all religions can visit <br />important historical sites. To disparage Israel for trying to keep its citizens (including its Arab Muslim and Christian citizens) safe <br />is unacceptable. <br />As a reminder, the Palestinian population in Gaza VOTED FOR HAMAS IN THEIR ELECTIONS to represent them after Israel <br />left the territory in 2005. The brainwashing done by Hamas over the last 20 years has created a population that wishes death <br />upon all Jews. Even young children are raised to find value in martyrdom - killing themselves and non -Muslims (Jews first, then <br />Christians and other Westerns) in the name of Allah. I've seen interviews of 5 year olds in Gaza celebrating the brutal murder of <br />Jews. <br />After what transpired on October 7th, this resolution is completely inappropriate. <br />56 <br />
