Israel has a right to defend itself. Israel goes to extreme efforts to <br />minimize civillian casualties by sending leaflets via airplanes and making thousands of phone calls. There is no <br />other army that would put their own military strategies at risk (by surrendering their ability to perform surprise <br />attacks, which would certainly be more effective) to help the opposing people. The IDF is only acting in self- <br />defense of its nation. In an interview last week, Hamas stated that October 7th was just practice. Prior to this <br />they stated they will commit October 7th again and again and again. When terrorists say they will kill, they <br />need to be believed. Israel should continue to defend itself. There was a ceasefire on October 6th, but Hamas <br />did not abide by it. They state clearly they do not plan on abiding by any ceasefires moving forward. Asking for <br />a ceasefire is asking Israelis to walk into gas chambers. While that may have been the case for their <br />grandparents, that will not be the case now.
