Alcala, Abigail
From: Eric Stein < >
Sent: Tuesday, December 5, 2023 11:56 AM
To: eComment
Subject: Re: Dec 5 City Council Mtg. — resolution addressing the war in Gaza.
I understand you are considering a resolution addressing the war in Gaza.
I write to express my concerns about the proposed resolution addressing the War in Gaza --particularly its one-sided nature and
potential consequences. As residents, we urge you to consider the broader impact on our community and focus on issues that directly
affect Santa Ana, such as the homeless crisis, affordable housing scarcity, the MHA problem, and street safety.
I fear that a resolution on an international conflict over which the City Council has no authority may divert attention from pressing
local matters and invite divisive rhetoric, as witnessed in other cities. We respectfully request that the City Council prioritize the needs
of our constituents by withdrawing the proposed resolution and redirecting attention to pressing issues within the jurisdiction of the
City.
While it is a very important and significant issue on a global stage, and one with no simple answer, the bottom line, this is not an issue
for city politics.
Sincerely,
Eric Stein

Santa Ana, CA 92706
