CITY COUNCIL 2 05/02/2023 <br />MINUTES: City Clerk Jennifer L. Hall conducted roll call. <br />Councilmembers Bacerra, Penaloza, Phan, and Vazquez, Mayor Pro Tem Lopez, and <br />Mayor Amezcua were present. Councilmember Hernandez joined the meeting during <br />Closed Session. <br />ADDITIONS\DELETIONS TO CLOSED SESSION <br />MINUTES: City Attorney Sonia Carvalho announced the need to take immediate action on <br />a potential Closed Session Agenda Item that became known following the posting of the <br />agenda on April 25, 2023. <br />Councilmember Phan recused herself from the proposed Closed Session Agenda Item, as <br />the listed entities are clients of her employers. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Bacerra moved to add the following Closed Session Item <br />to the Agenda, seconded by Councilmember Penaloza. <br />CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – EXISTING LITIGATION pursuant to Paragraph <br />(1) of subdivision (d) of Section 54956.9 of the Government Code: <br />City of Santa Ana v.
