Yuri Lara spoke of the importance of youth services and requested additional <br />funding. <br /> <br />17. Hairo Cortes commented on the Police Oversight Commission funding and City <br />funded youth centers. <br /> <br />18. Isuri Ramos requested Council allocate $250,000 for community grants and the <br />expansion of employment opportunities for undocumented youth. <br /> <br />19. Angel Sanchez (translation: Spanish) requested financial assistance for <br />residents who are struggling to pay rent. <br /> <br />20. Martina Pantaleon (translation: Spanish) requested home buying workshops. <br /> <br />21. Elizabeth requested a City funded youth center <br /> <br />22. Maria Barboza (translation: Spanish) requested funds for tenant legal <br />representation. <br /> <br />Seeing no additional public speakers, Mayor Amezcua closed the public hearing at <br />11:29 P.M. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hernandez inquired about restrooms for El Salvador Park, <br />advocated for a City youth center, signage for Little Saigon and Francisco Torres, <br />requested the Juneteenth Event funding remain the same, holding the Fiestas <br />Patrias event in downtown, Family Day Festival funding, and requested cameras in <br />police vehicles. <br /> <br />Councilmember Vazquez spoke in support of employment opportunities for <br />undocumented youth, a City youth center, the Juneteenth, Noche de Altares, and <br />the Fiestas Parade events, and cameras in police vehicles. <br />
