MINUTES: At 8:12 PM, Mayor Amezcua considered the agenda out of order and <br />heard Public Hearing Item No. 54 after Agenda Item No. 10. (see Page No.11) <br />At 12.26 A.M. on June 7, 2023, Mayor Amezcua recessed the City Council to <br />consider the Housing Authority agenda and reconvened at 12:29 A.M. <br />CITY MANAGER COMMENTS <br />MINUTES: City Manager Kristine Ridge announced her attendance at the Orange <br />County Board of Supervisors meeting where she spoke in opposition to the proposed <br />contract by the Mental Health Association of Orange County located in Santa Ana. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />A131234 DISCLOSURE — If the City paid for travel or other expenses this is the time for <br />members of the Council to provide a brief oral report on attendance of any regional <br />board or commission meeting or any conference, meeting or event attended. <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Vazquez congratulated all of the 2023 graduates and <br />spoke regarding funds allocated for future recall elections. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Lopez wished her dad and all dads a happy Father's Day, congratulated <br />the 2023 graduates, and wished everyone a goodnight. <br />Councilmember Penaloza thanked Mayor Pro Tern Lopez for extending an invitation to <br />the Pride Flag raising ceremony and wished everyone a good night. <br />Councilmember Bacerra announced that his monthly community office hours would be <br />on Saturday June 10, 2023 at Thornton Park at 10.00 A.M. He congratulated <br />Segerstrom High School alumni Zoe Velez for her graduation from the United States <br />Naval Academy and former PAAL member Alexis Mejia for his graduation from Harvard <br />University, and wished everyone a good night. <br />Councilmember Phan congratulated the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services <br />Department for the groundbreaking of a new community center in the Santa Anita <br />neighborhood. She announced that she would be hosting a My First Home down <br />payment assistance workshop on June 7, 2023, at the Newhope Library, and wished <br />everyone a goodnight. <br />Mayor Amezcua announced that she will be hosting a Mayor's Walk event on Saturday, <br />June 10, 2023, at the intersection of 20th Street and Spurgeon.
