We'll expand the program, to be a Percussion Club to <br />underserved communities in the city after the workshop. We serve a <br />diverse student demographic in Orange County who, without these <br />program, would never be able to experience music education. With the <br />15,000 dollar grant we would be able to buy percussion instruments to <br />facilitate the program. Once we are awarded the grant we would set <br />ourselves a timeline of 18 months to expand the program through working <br />with the city of Sant Ana Parks & Recreation. <br />Describe the Bringing a Latin percussion workshop to a community of Hispanic youth <br />community benefits have a multitude of benefits that positively impact both individual <br />of this event participants and the community as a whole. This initiative not only <br />promotes cultural enrichment but also offers valuable opportunities for <br />personal growth and community development such as: 1) Cultural <br />Preservation and Celebration 2) Skill development 3) Self -Expression and <br />Confidence 4) Youth Empowerment 5) Career and Future Opportunities: <br />exposes children to potential career paths in music, or related fields. <br />Develops transferable skills such as teamwork, communication, and <br />leadership that can be valuable in various professions 61ong-Term Impact: <br />creates a cycle of cultural preservation and community involvement that <br />can benefit future generations. In summary, introducing a Latin percussion <br />workshop can have far-reaching positive effects, not only enriching the <br />lives of the participating youth but also contributing to the overall <br />development and unity of the community. This initiative aligns with the <br />values of cultural inclusivity, personal growth, and community well-being, <br />making it a valuable and professional endeavor. We look forward to <br />bringing this opportunity to the youth of the city as our music program has <br />been in operation for almost 20 years.
