(9) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SECTION I <br />GENERAL MAINTENACE OPERATIONS <br />This section establishes overall daily contract requirements that the Contractor shall perform <br />unless otherwise specified in later sections. Other specifications given per section are to be <br />utilized as unexpected situations arise and clarification of service is required. It is Contractor's <br />obligation to fully understand the grounds' landscape specifications. <br />Additionally, for all mulch and compost needs that are necessary for Landscape Maintenance, <br />the City's Refuse Contractor Republic Services shall provide freee mulch and compost for all <br />City projects. For all other mulch and compost that requires the Contractor to procure, the the <br />Contractor shall: <br />Use Compost and Senate Bill (SB) 1383 Eligible Mulch produced from <br />recovered Organic Waste for all landscaping maintenance, renovations, or <br />construction, as practicable, whenever available, and capable of meeting <br />quality standards and criteria specified. SB 1383 Eligible Mulch used for land <br />application must meet or exceed the physical contamination, maximum metal <br />concentration and pathogen density standards specified in 14 CCR Section <br />17852(a)(24.5)(A)(1) through (3). <br />Keep and provide records of Procurement of Recovered Organic Waste <br />Products (either through purchase or acquisition) to the City's Solid Waste <br />Enterprise annually upon request. Information to be provided shall include: <br />o General description of how and where the product was used and <br />applied; <br />o Source of product, including name, physical location, and contact <br />information for each entity, operation, or facility from whom the <br />Recovered Organic Waste Products were procured; <br />o Quantity and type of each product; and <br />o Invoice or other record demonstrating purchase or procurement <br />A. General Operations <br />All areas shall be inspected daily and be maintained in a neat, clean, and safe <br />condition at all times. <br />2. All drinking fountains shall be checked weekly and kept clean. Clean is defined as <br />free of standing water, disinfected, free of calcium deposits or other encrustations, <br />well -polished, and with drains/collectors cleaned of silt and debris. <br />3. All sidewalk areas within maintained areas shall be clean and cleared of debris at all <br />times. <br />4. All leaves, paper, trash, and debris shall be removed from landscape and hardscape <br />areas daily and disposed of offsite. <br />5. Trash cans provided by the City shall be emptied daily and washed after emptying <br />when necessary, as determined by the City Representative (CR).
