MOTION: Councilmember Penaloza moved to approve the recommended action <br />for Item No. 26 and amend the salary increase to 5 percent (5%), seconded by <br />Councilmember Vazquez. <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Vazquez thanked City Manager Ridge for her hard work <br />and dedication and spoke in support of Councilmember Penaloza' s motion. <br />Councilmember Phan thanked City Manager Ridge for her service and leadership. <br />AMENDED MOTION: Councilmember Penaloza moved to approve the <br />recommended action for Item No. 26, as amended to include a five percent (5%) <br />increase retroactively to July 1, 2022 and not extend the City Manager's contract <br />by one additional year, seconded by Councilmember Vazquez. <br />The motion carried, 6-0-1, by the following roll call vote: <br />AYES: COUNCILMEMBER BACERRA, COUNCILMEMBER <br />HERNANDEZ, COUNCILMEMBER PENALOZA, <br />COUNCILMEMBER PHAN, COUNCILMEMBER VAZQUEZ, <br />MAYOR AMEZCUA <br />NOES: NONE <br />ABSTAIN: NONE <br />ABSENT: MAYOR PRO TEM LOPEZ <br />Status: 6-0-1— PASS <br />(See page no. 23 for the reconsideration of Agenda Item No. 26.) <br />**END OF CONSENT CALENDAR** <br />BUSINESS CALENDAR <br />MINUTES: At 10:34 P.M., the Business Calendar was considered. <br />27.
