Certificate of Recognition presented by Councilmember Bacerra to Roquette's Cafe <br />& Bistro in Honor of their One -Year Anniversary <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Bacerra presented a certificate of recognition to Roquette's <br />Cafe & Bistro in honor of their one-year anniversary and contributions to the local economy. <br />STAFF PRESENTATIONS <br />3. Update from League of California Cities <br />MINUTES: Connor Medina, Regional Public Affairs Manager, gave a presentation and <br />update from the League of California Cities. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS — Public comments will be held during the beginning of the meeting for <br />ALL comments on agenda and non -agenda items, except for public hearings. Comments for <br />public hearings will take place after the hearing is opened. <br />MINUTES: <br />The following speakers addressed the City Council in person: <br />1. Manuel Pineda spoke regarding a personal case. <br />2. Arturo Arteaga (translation: Spanish) expressed concern regarding harassment by the <br />City and the Police Department on Central and Main Street on his small business and <br />requested the City aid in assisting small businesses. <br />3. Antonio Quiroz (translation: Spanish) expressed concern regarding harassment by the <br />City and the Police Department at his lunch truck on Central and requested the City <br />assist small businesses. <br />4. Betty Lopez (translation: Spanish) expressed concern regarding harassment by the City <br />and the Police Department at lunch trucks, the inability to work, and lack of sales. <br />5. Abdul Yousef spoke regarding the environment at Gaza and requested a cease fire <br />resolution. <br />6. Claudia Morales (translation: Spanish) expressed excitement for the failed recall efforts <br />regarding Mayor Pro Tem Lopez. <br />7.
