aCITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DG walkways and trails require additional attention to be properly maintained. <br />The two (2) most common conditions are an uneven surface and lack of moisture. <br />Both issues can make the material unstable and sand -like, creating an unsafe <br />surface. <br />a. The integrity of the surface must be kept intact at all times. <br />b. The contractor shall perform daily inspections of DG surfaces. <br />c. Borders of DG areas shall be kept in proper repair and well-defined at <br />all times. <br />d. DG areas shall be kept free of weeds at all times. <br />e. Monthly maintenance of DG areas shall be according to industry <br />standards. <br />f. Contractor shall immediately repair any DG areas where holes or <br />ruts are apparent, or where the surface becomes uneven. <br />g. Materials will be supplied by the City to maintain the integrity of the <br />product. <br />5. Parking Lots Bike Trails and Roads <br />These areas include parking lots and roads located within the boundaries of the <br />parks, or areas directly adjacent to parks, and whose primary purpose is to provide <br />vehicle parking for patrons. Street parking areas that are not meant specifically <br />for park users will not be included in this section. Areas in doubt should be clarified <br />with the CR. <br />a. All areas shall be inspected daily and maintained in a neat, clean, <br />and safe condition at all times. Any hazards shall be reported <br />immediately to the CR. <br />b. All areas shall be swept, blown, and/or vacuumed weekly to remove <br />all debris and deposits of silt and/or sand and glass. <br />c. Cracks and crevices shall be kept free of weeds at all times. <br />d.
