The only order from the International Criminal Court was that Hamas immediately and unconditionally release of all the
hostages. Israel was only required to issue a report on what its doing to minimize civilian casualties.
2. Hamas is a generally recognized as a terrorist organization, including statements by the UN Secretary -General.
3. Casualty information from Gaza comes from the Hamas ministry of health.
4. Approximately 2 million Palestinians live in Israel, most are citizens of Israel and they vote for members of the Knesset.
5. Hamas still advocates the total destruction of Jews and Israel.
6. There are reports, not confirmed, that about half of the casualties in Gaza are Hamas or related terrorists.
If Santa Ana city council decides to pass a statement, I suggest only item one above be addressed.
1
