The incident, in which Alvarez hit another motorist
while intoxicated, occurred on July 29, 2023, around 8:00 PM near the intersection of Grand Street and Edinger
Avenue in Santa Ana.
"This happened after he embarked on a tour of the Elk Lodges in the Inland Empire... The SAUSD,
for whatever reason, pays for Alvarez' Elks Lodge membership... If the SAUSD Trustees are not
going to hold Alvarez accountable they should at the very least cancel his Elks Lodge membership." -
SoCalDailyPulse.com
We also have a No Confidence vote for Councilman Phil Becerra because of the close ties he has
with the alcohol abuse at the Elks Lodge and his campaigns there, along with his close ties to ex -
union boss Gerry Serrano who was also arrested for DUI yet never got arrested. "Esqueda also told
the Weekly that they turned the Serrano case over to the Orange County district attorney's office
(OCDA), for criminal filing. That's where the case died." ocweekly.com
We, the Mothers of Santa Ana, are against drunk driving, and We demand immediate accountability,
resignations and imprisonment of anyone causing bodily harm using a vehicle as a deadly weapon
while under the influence, plus we denounce the message that it sends to our Children at Santa Ana
Unified School District, that their safety and well-being is in question while their drunk driving leaders
go on with business as usual. As a designated Sanctuary City, we hold our Leaders in highest
regards because of their work with the Children.
Here is resource information for Mothers Against Drunk Driving. They are able to make a presentation
to the city council and school district about the mission and vision:
OUR VISION
No more victims of drunk/drugged driving
OUR PURPOSE
