To date, staff has utilized these consultants to
provide professional engineering design and cost estimation work for several civil works
projects relating to water, sewer, and recycled water facilities and systems.
The original agreement was awarded an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 for a three-
year term, with the provision for one two-year extension. Staff recommends amending
the agreements to increase the funding amount by $750,000 for the remainder of the
term to allow these services to be utilized for additional civil works projects included in
the current and future fiscal years' Capital Improvement Programs (CIP). The additional
funding will help ensure that the much -needed capital projects identified in the CIP can
commence according to schedule.
