Work with local <br />and regional partners, such as Orange <br />County Environmental Justice, Orange <br />County Health Care Agency and <br />University of California at Irvine Public <br />Health, to understand the prevalence, <br />sources, and implications of lead <br />contamination of soil across Santa Ana. <br />Collaborate with environmental justice <br />stakeholders in proposing solutions to <br />remove hazardous lead-contaminated <br />soils in the city and with benchmarks to <br />measure and track effectiveness of <br />proposed programs. <br />PBA/CDA Ongoing In 2023, the Neighborhood Initiatives <br />and Environmental Services (NEIS) <br />office continued partnerships with <br />Orange County Health Care Agency, <br />Orange County Environmental Justice, <br />and University of California, Irvine, to <br />seek out funding/grants to further <br />studies and remediation projects <br />related to lead pollution and blood lead <br />testing. NIES staff have met OC Health <br />Care Agency and CDPH-selected <br />residential lead abatement contractor <br />Azure Community Development to plan <br />for providing residential testing and <br />abatement for 50 Santa Ana <br />households. <br />Safety 3.5 No High-risk facilities. Compile and <br />maintain a list of facilities that, because <br />of population demands (such as mobility <br />issues at a nursing home), construction <br />type, location relative to a fault, or other <br />factors, may have a high risk and require <br />special response during a geologic or <br />seismic event. <br />PBA/OCFA 2025 The City's Public Works Agency planned <br />for the initiation of a development <br />impact fee study in Fiscal Year <br />2023/2024 to determine fair share <br />costs for land development projects.
