Update the zoning code sign <br />regulations to incorporate best practices <br />to establish a cohesive identity and <br />visually appealing integrated <br />development or district. <br />PBA 2022 - <br />2027 <br />The RFP for the Comprehensive Zoning <br />Code Update was released and <br />proposals were due to the City on April <br />13, 2023. The City formally entered an <br />agreement with a consultant on <br />October 17, 2023 to start the Zoning <br />Code Update. The project will include <br />updating the sign regulations to <br />incorporate best practices to establish a <br />cohesive identity and visually appealing <br />integrated development or district. <br />Urban <br />Design <br />1.4 No Public Safety Through Environmental <br />Design. Educate City staff on "public <br />safety through environmental design" <br />principles by sponsoring participation in <br />workshops. Update existing design <br />guidelines and require any new design <br />guidelines to include public safety <br />through environmental design best <br />practices. Avoid aspects of public safety <br />through environmental design that <br />privatize or segregate open space areas, <br />recreation facilities, and neighborhoods. <br />PBA/PD Ongoing The City continues to implement <br />aspects of public safety through <br />environmental design through the <br />Development Review Committee's <br />review of new development <br />applications.
