Explore tools for <br />communication with residents and <br />sensitive receptors when new industrial <br />uses are proposed in their areas <br />PBA 2022 - <br />2024 <br />City EJ Office scheduled presentations <br />at neighborhood association and school <br />parent meetings in EJ communities and <br />continue to share information regarding <br />new industrial uses in the <br />Neighborhood e-Newsletter that <br />provides EJ information to community <br />members, including CBO, faith-based, <br />renters, landlords, property owners, <br />youth, businesses, and other public <br />agency contacts. Additional discussion <br />will be included into City's public <br />engagement with the zoning code <br />update project. <br />Land Use 3.16 Yes Health in corridors. Require a Health <br />Risk Assessment to identify best <br />practices to minimize air quality and <br />noise impacts when considering new <br />residential uses within 500 feet of a <br />freeway. <br />PBA 2022 - <br />2027 <br />Several projects currently in <br />construction within 500 feet of a <br />freeway have prompted the <br />opportunity to work with partners to <br />develop criteria and research a Health <br />Risk Assessment that can be applied to <br />future projects.
