Flores, Dora
From: Emma Clark <
Sent: Friday, April 12, 2024 8:02 AM
To: eComment; Flores, David
Subject: CDBG Funding for Economic Development Programs that Support Childcare
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Honorable members of the Santa Ana City Council,
It has come to my attention that there is a significant lack of resources available for childcare providers in our
city. Please realize that the lack of support for early education workers also shows a lack of support for thriving
families and businesses. I work in early education and I see the challenges faced by both childcare providers
and families due to the shortage of support.
The City Council's decision to forgo economic development support for the childcare sector is disappointing, as
it perpetuates the cycle of economic strain on working families. Our City must prioritize investing in the
childcare sector to ensure that all families have access to quality care and support.
Please think about the long-term impacts of your decisions and who you're really affecting.
Thank you.
Emma Clark
