I am writing to express my firm opposition to Item
27, Santa Ana's Resolution to Oppose the Establishment of a Needle Exchange Program in our City.
Safe Syringe Programs have consistently demonstrated their efficacy in preventing the transmission of
diseases and play a crucial role in providing healthcare services and aiding addiction treatment for
those in need. By opposing the implementation of such a program, we risk denying our community a
proven, cost-effective public health intervention. I urge you to reject this item and instead advocate for
initiatives that prioritize harm reduction and public health in Santa Ana.*
In Solidarity
Tanya Navarro
She/Hers/Any
Community Organizer I Chispa
e: tanyaii,,
Suite 117 Santa Ana, CA 92705
outh in
small donation t Tides Advocacya 5oiLcJ4 non-profit
Chispa
