Use caion when n:pel inn aflac4gun enu s or finks. Hello - I'm writing today in support of Item 27 - Resolution to Oppose Needle Distribution Program. There is a crisis in our city when it comes to open drug use in our streets in front of our children! I do not support a needle distribution program in our city because quite frankly our children are suffering at the hands of city officials who continue to encourage this type of behavior in our neighborhoods. No child should be subjected to witness someone freely shooting up in our streets, imagine having to explain to a child what occurred before their eyes (I've had to explain a multitude of times, because its a daily occurrence here). I have two daughters, one is 19 and she grew up in Tustin, the other is 8 and sadly she's witnessed firsthand "zombies walking in our streets." The City stood firm with the last attempt to distribute needles in our society and yet again we're faced with another attempt at subjecting our children to things that other cities do not push upon their children! Where is the safety of our children? Why are we determined to ruin their lives and force feed them into open drug use. Willing handling out needles for drug user is another way of telling our children its okay to succumb to addiction. NO CHILREN deserve to watch someone sticking a needle in the arm and then slump over in the streets looking head or unconscious, to then turn around and ask "why do they look like that mommy?" I would ask that all directors, CEOS and the like open these facilities in their neighborhoods. Encourage their children to witness the destruction these people are creating in our community. I'm sure these doctors that opened HRI went into the field to HELP the sick and dying, not encourage the destruction of so many lives. But once greed and money take over, you have to ask yourself what morals do these doctors have? I ask that HRI send their children into 1 st street, and sit and witness a homeless person shoot up at a bus stop. I ask that they fund these types of distributions in their own community, our children do not deserve this. I'm an adult and what's happening in Santa Ana is frightening. I've lived here for over 46 years and I've never seen the city in such disarray, we're looking like a 3rd world county in our very city. I'm begging that we stand behind our children and stop this before its a common occurrence for EVERY child to witness someone shooting poison into their veins. Please support our residents.
