IBC VISION PLAN 2o18 TRAFFIC STUDY UPDATE — <br />ALTERNATIVES ANALYSIS <br />Final <br />4 COST ESTIMATES <br />4.1 Cost Estimates for Mitigation Improvements <br />Planning level cost estimates were developed for each of the required mitigation locations. This involved the <br />development of concept plans for each of the improvements overlaid on recent aerial imagery provided by <br />the City. Unit costs were updated based on recent Caltrans cost estimates and on bid data provided to the <br />City. These unit costs were then applied to the construction requirements identified in the concept plans. <br />Utility identification, including sewer and overhead electrical lines, were determined to the extent possible <br />from the aerial imagery. Length of turn pocket date was determined from traffic data where appropriate. <br />Consistent with the 2010 Vision Plan Traffic Fee Nexus Study and the 2015 Update, cost estimates include <br />provisions for the following: <br />• Preliminary project development <br />• Right-of-way <br />• Design Engineering and Administration Cost <br />• Construction Engineering Cost and Administration <br />• Construction Cost <br />• Construction Contingency <br />4.1.2 Cost Estimates for Alternative 2 <br />Table 4.2 shows the cost estimates for the improvements identified for the Alternative 2. Concept plans are <br />and detailed cost estimates broken down into component categories are provided in Appendix H.
