Interface with responsible parties to facilitate registration and filing, maintain <br />compliance, educate, and provide general communications <br />All the above project tasks will be completed by HERA with minimal use of City <br />resources. We anticipate the use of City resources for providing initial direction and <br />planning for the registration program, financial or accounting staff to process monthly <br />remittances, and City oversight regarding enforcement. <br />THINGS YOUR STAFF WON'T MISS AFTER USING HERA: <br />1. Training mortgagees, servicers, and registrants on how to stay compliant with the <br />Ordinance <br />2. Spending thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours on paper -based mailings <br />and postage <br />3. Answering phone calls about real property registration and payment issues <br />4. Using valuable staff time to research the proper responsible party for registration <br />5. Dealing with bounced checks <br />6. Having to handle PCI compliance <br />PROJECT SCHEDULE AND TIMELINE <br />HERA anticipates that it will take up to two weeks to customize and onboard the City's <br />foreclosure registration platform. It is anticipated that HERA will begin to notify responsible <br />parties of their obligation to register immediately upon completion of the City's customized <br />registration platform.
