Ibarra, Evelyn
From:Mariana Diaz <mariana.diaz@lsssc.org>
Sent:Tuesday, May 7, 2024 1:08 PM
To:eComment
Subject:Public Comment - Item #29
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Hi,
Below are my public comments in regards to Item #29 CDBG Funding:

Hello,
My name is Mariana Diaz and I am the Clinical Senior Program Manager for the Vic?m Interven?on Program at Lutheran
Social Services (LSS). We provide trauma-informed care to women survivors of domes?c violence who reside in Orange
County. We have been blessed to have received CDBG Santa Ana funding to assist with our program in the past and
would be honored to con?nue receiving support from the City of Santa in order to con?nue to embrace, equip, and
empower our clients. Our program offers accessible and low-barrier social services to this vulnerable popula?on,
u?lizing trauma-informed suppor?ve services while our community members access advocacy services, self-sufficiency
planning, life skills training, case management, and housing naviga?on services to expedite housing placement and
address the comprehensive health outcome of the community members. If awarded, funding will go to services such as:
rental assistance when a client is past due or facing evic?on, transporta?on service to ensure client can get to their
appointments within LSSSC and in the community, and motel vouchers for clients experiencing homelessness. Our goal
is to assist clients in a comprehensive care plan that transi?ons the individual from survival to stabiliza?on and safety.
Thank you for your considera?on.

To help protect your privacy, Microsoft Office prevented
automatic download of this picture from the Internet.
She/Her/Hers/Ella
Mariana Diaz

Clinical Senior Program Manager VIP

Lutheran Social Services of Southern California

247 E Amerige Ave.

Fullerton , California 92832

Office (714) 534-6450

www.lsssc.org

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This e-mail is meant only for the use of the intended recipient.
