Families <br />with special needs students were the target population at onset, but OCCTAC quickly expanded <br />its' mission to provide services to all families in need of services. <br />OCCTAC's Vision & Mission: <br />Vision Statement. A world where all families have equitable access to exceptional arts, <br />educational, and therapeutic programs that empower and transform lives. <br />Mission Statement. Provide innovative arts, education, and therapy programs to low- <br />income and special needs families that unlock potential, nurture creativity, and promote <br />diversity, equity, and inclusion. <br />OCCTAC's Growth and Accomplishment over the past 24 years: <br />1. Number of Participants served (from 100 participants in year 1 to over 8,000 <br />participants per year). OCCTAC has served over 100,000 children, youth and families <br />from low-income communities during the past 23 years. <br />2. Age Range of Participants served (very young children, youth adults and older adults). <br />3. Number of Programs offered in the community (from only 2 programs in year Ito 11 <br />programs today!). <br />a. After -School Arts/ Prep Arts Academy —Students 5-8yrs. from all OC. <br />b. Therapeutic Arts program —Special needs students of all backgrounds in OC. <br />c. Early childhood education —very young children (0-5) and parents. <br />d. Youth Employment Program —young adults 16 — 24 years with significant <br />barriers. <br />e. Community Wellness & Mental Health programs - Youth & Family Counseling, <br />emotional support and mental health programs for children, youth and adults <br />in OC. <br />
