and performing artists generates about eleven dollars of economic activity: generating revenue for artists, <br />local stores, restaurants, hotels, commercial realty, and increasing tourism. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Please move forward with instituting and codifying a Percent for the Arts from the city annual budget and <br />new construction and improvement projects above a large threshold on Santa Ana. Percent for the Arts <br />Programs have positively impacted cities since 1959, <br /> and are active in 27 states nationwide currently. <br /> <br /> <br />Now is the best time to support the workforce of visual and performing artists residing in Santa Ana. As individual <br />proprietors of our small businesses and micro-businesses, we are not afforded the access to funding that 501(c)3 <br />such as Bowers Museums can employ. We can only grow when invested in.
