Assessments include the characteristics or effects of each hazard, the causes or sources of the hazard, past <br />history and future projections of the occurrence of the hazard in this area, and potential losses or impacts to the <br />City from the hazard. <br />Each hazard threat assessment is developed from city, county, state or federal resources, including existing <br />emergency operations and hazard mitigation plans, as well as published academic or scientific research. Hazard <br />threat assessments represent an overview of knowledge of the hazard, but are subject to the availability of data for <br />each hazard. <br />32 <br />
