PP 20 20 (02120) <br />SHARING YOUR NPI <br />We do not disclose or share any NPI about our customers or former customers outside of the Tokio Marine <br />Group, except as permitted by law. We do not sell or disclose or share your NPI for third party marketing <br />purposes. We do, however, share your NPI with third parties that we use to service your account or process <br />your insurance policy or your claim, or administer related transactions. These third parties may include: <br />• your agent, broker or producer <br />• independent claims adjusters, investigators, data processors or attorneys <br />• persons or organizations that conduct scientific research, including actuarial <br />or underwriting studies <br />• an insurance support organization oranother insurer, to prevent or prosecute <br />fraud or to properly underwrite the risk <br />• another insurer, if you are involved in an accident with their insured <br />• State insurance departments or other governmental or law enforcement <br />authorities, if required by law, to protect our legal interests or in cases of <br />suspected fraud or illegal activities <br />• a court of law <br />We also are required to disclose your NPI if we receive a subpoena, search warrant or other court order. <br />RETAINING YOUR NPI <br />The NPI we collect is kept in your policy and/or claim files for as long as needed in connection with your <br />business interactions with you and, if longer, as required by law. <br />HOW WE PROTECTYOUR NPI <br />We have adopted and implemented a security and privacy program that includes technical, organizational, <br />administrative, and other measures designed to protect, as required by applicable law and in accordancewith <br />industry standards, against reasonably anticipated oractual threats to the security of your NPI. Our security <br />program was created by reference to widely recognized standards such as those published by the <br />International Standards Organization and National Institute of Standards and Technology. It includes, among <br />many other things, procedures for assessing the need for, and as appropriate, either employing encryption <br />and multi -factor authentication or using equivalent compensating controls.
