Mayor Pro Tem Phan spoke regarding the Bowers Museum and the downtown <br />parking and pay structure. <br />MayorAmezcua requested additional information regarding downtown parking, and <br />spoke regarding the Police Department's budget. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the payment structure and parking in the downtown <br />area. <br />MayorAmezcua opened the Public Hearing at 8:24 P.M. <br />The following speaker addressed City Council in -person: <br />1. Maria Zacarias Torres requested additional funding for the Parks, Recreation, <br />and Community Services Agency. <br />There being no further speakers, MayorAmezcua closed the Public Hearing at 8:30 <br />P. M. <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Vazquez spoke regarding downtown parking and City <br />events. <br />Councilmember Lopez spoke regarding membership subscriptions, miscellaneous <br />fees related to the Bowers Museum, and LAZ parking. <br />Director Downs spoke regarding the one line budget item regarding miscellaneous <br />fees related to Bowers Museum. <br />Councilmember Penaloza requested an increased charge for the Fun Run event, <br />supported free parking on Sunday and Art Walk, and discussed the LAZ contract <br />and dog park. <br />Acting City Manager Alvaro Nunez spoke regarding the fun run event and dog park. <br />Director Saba clarified that the adoption of budget would cause the $4 mil to become <br />part of CIP. <br />MayorAmezcua spoke regarding the rental registry, spoke in support of the Bowers <br />Museum, asked for clarification regarding the deletions of SEW classifications, and <br />requested the MySantaAna app be translated to Spanish and Vietnamese. <br />Director Garcia spoke regarding the rental registry revenue. <br />CITY COUNCIL 20 JUNE 4, 2024 <br />City Council 3 — 20 6/18/2024 <br />
