AYES: COUNCILMEMBER BACERRA, COUNCILMEMBER <br />HERNANDEZ, COUNCILMEMBER LOPEZ, <br />COUNCILMEMBER VAZQUEZ, MAYOR AMEZCUA <br />NOES: NONE <br />ABSTAIN: MAYOR PRO TEM PHAN (recusal) <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBER PENALOZA <br />Status: 5-0-1 - 1 —Pass <br />MINUTES: Mayor Pro Tem Phan returned to the dais at 10:28 P.M. <br />AGENDA ITEM NO. 28 WAS PULLED FOR SEPARATE DISCUSSION AND <br />CONSIDERATION <br />28.Agreement with Swinerton Management & Consulting to Provide <br />Construction Management and Inspection Services for the New Memorial <br />Park Aquatic Facility Project (Project No. 22-1415) (General Fund) (Revive <br />Santa Ana) <br />Department(s): Public Works Agency <br />Recommended Action: Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with <br />Swinerton Management & Consulting to perform construction management and <br />inspection services for the New Memorial Park Aquatic Facility Project in the <br />amount of $1,001,477, with a contingency of $200,296, for a total amount not to <br />exceed of $1,201,773, for a three-year term beginning June 4, 2024 and expiring <br />December 31, 2026, with the option for two, one-year extensions (Agreement No. <br />A-2024-079). <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Vazquez asked whether the "Chicano Gothic Mural" <br />would be saved at Memorial Park. <br />Assistant City Manager Steven Mendoza confirmed that the mural would be saved. <br />Councilmember Hernandez thanked staff for their hard work and efforts and <br />requested that any mural be conserved. <br />Councilmember Penaloza thanked staff for their hard work and efforts and spoke <br />regarding preserving murals. <br />Councilmember Lopez thanked staff for their hard work and efforts and spoke <br />regarding mural preservation. <br />Councilmember Vazquez thank staffed and Alicia Rojas for saving the mural. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Phan requested any project that affects mural go through the Arts <br />Commission for approval. <br />CITY COUNCIL 25 JUNE 4, 2024 <br />
