I am also a Vietnam
Era Air Force Veteran and have been golfing at the River View Golf Course for over 20 years. I golf there twice a week
because it is afforded, easily accessable and challenging a Golf Course as any in the Tri County Area.

As a Retired Veteran River View is also one of the few affordable golf courses anywhere in Southern California. The fact
that it is also a Public Golf Course and not a Members only Club Course makes it an affordable Gem to all. It is a
challenging and picturesque course as wildlife is most abundent to the course which allows any Golfer the opportunity to
share with mother nature such as birds (Egrets, Hawks, Parrots, Sand Pipers, Ducks, Geese, Herons, etc.), reptiles
(lizards, snakes), amphibians (frogs, salamanders, caecilians, newts), coyotes, etc.

I have yet to see any Little Leaguer's use the baseball fields adjacent to the course,
or use of the Basketball courts let alone the small park presently near by. So to expand the course to a park makes no
sense at all. And at what cost? And what or how much more would the homeless move in?

The growth of our youth is more than evident every day as the use of the course's putting, driving range and course itself
lends to the advancement and growth of our youth as they learn the fine challenge that is Golf. Various Lessons are
given at the driving range and chipping areas by various Professional Teachers every day, I have seen and experienced
it.

As mentioned earlier this is not a run down, trashy course in the middle of nowhere.
It is well maintained, a tough as well as a challenge to all levels of players, it is picturesque, Mother Nature Friendly and
located in a venue easily accessible.

1
