CDBG funding will support our core program, Steps to Independence, which provides
transitional housing, clothing, healthy meals, financial supports, and recently added, employment readiness,
landlord incentives, 3-6 months of rental assistance, and legal advocacy, is designed to meet the most basic need
of unhoused women. WISEPIace then works to develop long-term self-sufficiency by addressing employment,
medical and mental health challenges, budgeting, and housing options. Case managers provide 1:1 personalized
help for each woman to overcome issues that led to their homelessness. We support program graduates to help
them maintain self-sufficiency and become productive members of our community. In 2024-2025, we anticipate
serving 12 unduplicated low-income Santa Ana residents through our Steps to Independence program.
Funding will support the following staff positions:
Volunteer & Program Engagement Manager (0.41 FTE) - Coordinates meals and workshops for program
participants, oversees the volunteer program which provides over 200 workshops annually and support to clients
and the facility. Manages external relations with volunteers, partners and coordinates donations of supplies.
Indirect Costs (10%) - Indirect Costs support administrative, accounting, grant management and overhead costs for
the grant.
Other positions/supports are provided through leveraged funding for the program.
EXHIBIT A
