Fire Department Bond Fund authorized by the voters by their ballots <br />cass in the Special Municipal Bond Election held June 6, 1950 may be <br />paid for the current year, the rate of $.0~7~ on each $100.00 of the <br />taxable property of said City is hereby fixed, but that said rate <br />shall not apply to any portion of that property designated "Northwest <br />Corner of Bristol and Edinger Street" added to the City by annexation <br />which said annexation was certified by the Secretary of State on May <br />23, 1951, nor to any portion of that property designated "North of <br />Edinger and West of Bristol Streets" added to the City by annexation <br />which said annexation was certified by the Secretary of State on <br /> <br />June 6, 1951,~ nor to any portion of that property designated "Townsend <br />Annexation, added to the City by a~nexation which said annexation was <br />certified by the Secretary of State on May 26, 1952. <br /> <br /> SECTION ~. This Ordinance is urgently required for the imme- <br />diate preservation of public health, peace and safety. The following <br />is a specific statement showing the urgency of this Ordinance: <br /> <br /> That the revenue to be derived from the taxes to be levied and <br />collected in accordance with the terms hereof is necessary for the <br />preservation of public health, peace and safety; and in order for this <br />Ordinance to be in effect in time required for this year's tax levy, <br />an Ordinance is now immediately required; therefore, the City Council <br />declares that this Ordinance shall take effect as, and is adopted <br />as, an emergency measure and be in force from and after its adoption. <br />It is provided, however, that in the event the provisions declaring <br />this emergency shall be held to b'e invalid for any reason whatsoever, <br />then and in that event this Ordinance shall never-the-less take ef- <br />fect thirty (30) days after the adoption thereof as hereinafter set <br />out and thereafter shall be in full force and effect. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to immediately <br />submit a certified copy of this Ordinance to the County Auditor of <br />Orange County, California. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and <br />adoption of this Ordinance by a vote of five members of the City <br /> <br /> <br />
