0RDINA~CE NO. 1358 AN ORDINANCE TO AI'~;~ SECTION 6386 OF THE SAETA ANA CIPAL CODE TO REGULATE GOLICITATION OF PASSENGERS BY TAXICAB THE CITY C0~MCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA Ai~ DOES ORDAIN AS FOLL0~S: SECTION 1. That the Santa ~na Municipal Code be and the smme is hereby amended by amending Oection 6386 of Part Article VI to read as follows: "SECTION 6386. Taxicab Stops and ~olicitation. "No person shall stand any taxicab upon the streets of the City, except et a taxicab staau as herein set forth, for any period of time longer than actually necessary to discharge its passengers at such a point as said passengers shall have indicated, or to take on a passenger which said passenger at such time shall be in waiting, anm then said stop shall be made only at a traffic corner or in front of residence or olace of business from which the call ori:ginated. "No taxicab driver or other oerson shall solicit the car- rying of passengers for hire or otherwise et, or within a radius of two hundred feet of any depot, waiting room or transportation terminal of any ~otor Bus Oompany or public motor vehicle conveyance duly authorized, licensed or opera- ting under e oermit as provided for in this Code or one that is duly authorized by any ~overmnental agency and operates solely within the County of Orange; ~rovided, however, that this Section shell not be construed to prohibit solicitation from any taxicab stand as the same is defined in Eection 6380.6 of this Cede or from the principal place of business of any taxicab company." SECTION 2. The City ~lerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in three issues of the Santa ~na Register, a newspaper printed, published, and circulated in t~e City of Santa Asa and hereby designated for
