ORDINANCE NO. NS-18 APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF THAT <br /> CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SCHULMAN ANNEXATION" <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa ~na did, on the <br />8th day of September, 1953 by Resolution Number 53-131, declare its <br />intention to annex certain uninhabited territory contiguous to said <br />City, which said Resolution was regularly published in the Santa Ann <br />Independent, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published <br />in said City, and in the Orange Daily News, a newspaper of general <br />circulation published outside of said City but in the County of <br />Orange, California, said publications being made once a week for two <br />consecutive weeks prior to the public hearing on said proposed annex- <br />ation which said public hearing was set by said Resolution for the <br />13th day of October, 1953; and <br /> <br /> V~iEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections to said pro- <br />posed annexation and no written protest was filed by any person <br />against the same; <br /> <br /> NOW, TH~REFORE, Th~ CITY COUNCIL OF TkT~ CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That after due hearing regularly held upon due no- <br />tice regularly given in all respects as required by the statutes and <br />as hereinabove set out and in the files of this proceeding more par- <br />ticularly shown, we do find, declare and ordain that there is and was <br />no protest nor objection, either written or oral, to the annexation <br />of the territory herein described to the City of Santa ~na, that due <br />and regular notice of the time and place of nearing was given as re- <br />quired by law end that said territory is and was wholly uninhabited <br />and that no person lives thereon; t~at said territory is contiguous <br />to the City of Santa ~na, California. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. That all of the uninhabited territory situated in <br /> <br />the County of Orange, State of California is described as follows: <br /> <br /> That portion of Lots 15 and 16 of Potts, Borden and Sidwell <br /> Tract, as recorded in Miscellaneous Records, Book 4, Page <br /> 624, Records of Los Angeles County, California not included <br /> within the City of Santa Ann, California, said portion being <br /> eescribed more particularly as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
