ORDINANCE NO. NS-21 ~ENDINGSANTAANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 3234 PRESCRIBING ~2RIXIMU~ SPEED LIMIT 0N NORTH FLOWER STREET BETWEEN k~E~ORYLANE AND SANTA ANA BOULEVARD WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic survey of vehicular traffic moving on North Flower Street between Memory Lane and Santa Ann Boul- evard has been made and indicates that the prima facie speed limit of 55 miles per hour is more than is reasonable or safe and is the speed limit applicable under the Vehicle Code, and that such prima facie speed limit constitutes a present and continuing hazard to persons and property upon said portion of North Flower Street; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLO~!~S: SECTION 1. That the Santa Aha ~unicipal Code be and the same is hereby amended by adding a new Section to be known and numbered as Section Number 3234 at the end of Chapter 2 of Article III of said Code to read as follows: "Section No. 3234. Speed Limit on North Flower Street. No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour on North Flower Street between its inter- section with Memory Lane and its intersection with Santa Ann Boulevard." SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas- sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published with- in 15 days after its adoption, in one issue pendent, the official newspaper of the City. take effect 30 days from and after the date of the Santa Ann Inde- This Ordinance shall of its final adoption.
