ORDINANCE NO. NS-34 AMENDING SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE <br />BY AMENDING ARTIOLE IX THEREOF CREATING CHANGES IN DISTRICT <br />BOUNDARIES AND BY AMENDING SSEET NUMBERS ~.4 AND 45 OF THE <br />DISTRICTING MAP TO SHOW THE RECLASSIFICATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana has <br />given no, ice of public hearings as required by law and has duly <br />held two public hearings in connection with the application for <br />change of District Classification and by Resolution Number 618 <br />recommended the change hereinbelow set out to the City Council for <br />adoption; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of pub- <br />lic hearing and such public hearing has been regularly held and the <br />Council does now find that public necessity, convenience, and gen- <br />eral welfare require the following amendment and change in the pres- <br />ent classification of the real property hereinafter described and <br />that the uses under the proposed new classification will not be <br />detrimental to the surrounding property; <br /> <br /> NOW, THE~Eq~O~E, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOF~ ORDAIN AS FOLLOW~: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That the real property lying in the City of Santa <br />Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> 14.76 acres in the East one-half of Section 18, <br /> Township 5 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B. & M. which <br /> is a ~rectangular piece of ground 482.4 feet South <br /> of Chestnut Avenue and extending Southerly 1622.6 <br /> feet bo~u~.ded on the East by the Southern Pacific <br /> Railroad, said property is 385.9 feet from East to <br /> West on the North and 394.6 feet from East to West <br /> on the South, <br /> <br />be reclassified from R-1 District to M-1 (Manufacturing District) <br />and that S~eet Numbers .~~. and 45 of the Districting Map of Article <br /> <br /> IX of the Santa Arm Municipal Code be amended to show such re- <br />classification. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas- <br />sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published <br />within 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana <br />Independent, the official newspaper of the City.
