ORDINANCE NO. NS-70 AMENDING SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE <br />BY ADDING THERET0-~TION 3237 PRESCRIBING MAXIMUM SPEED <br />ON A PART OF LINCOLN AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic survey of ~®hicular traffic <br />moving on Lincoln Avenue north of Seventeenth Street has been made <br />and indicates that the prima facle speed limit of 55 miles per hour, <br />the speed limit now applicable under the Vehicle Code, is more than <br />is reasonable or safe and constitutes a present and continuing hazard <br />to persons and p~operty upon said street: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION l: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code be and the same is <br />hereby amended by adding a new Section numbered Section 3237 at the <br /> <br />end of Chapter 2 of Article III of said Code to read as follows: <br /> "SECTION 3237. Speed Limit On Lincoln Avenue. <br /> <br /> No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed g~eater than <br /> 35 miles per hour on Lincoln Avenue between a point 150 <br /> feet south of the centerline of Catalina Avenue and a <br /> point 142 feet north of the center line of Grovemont, <br /> <br />which last mentioned point is on the City Limits line." <br />SECTION 2: The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage <br />of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published, within 15 <br />days after its adoption, in one issue of the Sant~ Aha Independent. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br /> <br />at its regular meeting held on the ~ .... <br /> ~,~ day of ,,, ,DecemSer , 1954. <br /> <br />ATTEST: / ~ ~ ~ ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
