ORDINANCE NO. NS-81 AMENDING SANTA AMA MUNICIPAL CODE <br />BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 3238 PRESCRIBING MAXIMUM SP.:.:. <br />ON A PART OF SANTA CLARA AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic survey of vehicular traffic moving <br />on Santa Clara Avenue between North Olive T~e and Rosewood Avenue has been made <br />and indicatgs that the prima facie speed limit of 55 miles per hour, the speed <br />limit now applicable under the Vehicle Code, is more than is reasonable or safe <br />and constitutes a present and continuing hazard to persona and property upon <br />said street: <br /> <br /> NOW, THerEFORE, 'l~{s CITY COUNCIL OF Tam CITY OF SANTA AMA DOES 0RD~-N <br /> <br /> SECTION l: That the Santa Ama Municipal Code be and the same is hereby <br />amended by adding a new Section numbered 3238 at the end of Chapter ~ of Article <br />III of said Code to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "SECTION 3238. Speed Limit on Santa Clara Avenue. <br /> <br /> No person s~al 1 drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 35 <br /> <br /> miles per hour on Santa Clara Avenue between its intersection <br /> <br /> with North Olive ~_m. ne and Rosewood Avenue." <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this <br />Ordinance and sb~.ll cmuse the same to be published, within 15 days after its <br />adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent.
