SECTION 4. Said election shall be held and conducted in accordance with the laws regulating municipal elections in cities of the Sixth Clas$~ and ~th the general election laws of the State of Californi~ so far as the same may be applicable thereto. The Polls sh~l~ be opened at 7 A. M. on the d~y of said election, and shall be kept open until 7 P. M. of said day~ at which time the polls shall be closed. SECTION 5. The Clerk of the Council shall prepare and cause to be published~ a list of the names of the nominees in alphabetical order or in the order in which they appear on the ballot~ and the respective offices for which they have been nominated~ twice before the day of said election~ in the Santa Ana Independent in the form as required by law. SECTION 6. The Clerk of the Council shall prepare and cause to be printed, official ballots in the form and number as required by law, and shall procure all other supplies necessary for the holding of said election as re- quired by law. SECTION 7. That said general municipal election is held to elect the officers to fill the offices for the terms as follows: 1. Two members of the City Council to be nominated from Wards T~o and Four and elected by the electors of the City at large, the term of each to begin on April 19, 1955, and to hold office until the second Tuesday of April~ 1959. 2. Three members of the Board of Education to be elected at large, the term of each member of the Board of Education to begin on April 19, 1955~ the two members elected to the Board of Education for the full terms to hold office until the second Tuesday of April, 1959, and the one member elected to the Board of Education for the short term to hold office until the second Tuesday of April, 1957. SECTION 8. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance ~ s~11 cause the same to be published in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent.
