ORDINANCE NO. NS-lO7 AMENDING THE SANTA AMA ~0NICIPAL CODE <br /> BY ADDING NEW SECTION8 TO CHAPTER 2, ARTICIE III THEREOF, WA_ <br /> TABLI~ING ONE-WAY STREETS IN THE CITY OF SANTA AHA <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS ~.' <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That Chapter 2 of Article III of the Santa Aha ~icipal Code <br />be and the same is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof, new Sections <br /> <br />Numbered 3260, 3261 and 3262 in words and figures as follows: <br /> "SECTION 3260. One-way Streets Established. <br /> <br /> There is hereby established, a system of one-way streets witb~ the City <br /> of ~ta Aha, California for the purpose of relieving traffic congestion and <br /> <br /> expediting the orderly flow of traffic in said City. <br /> "SECTION 3261. 8ams. Manner of Designating. <br /> <br /> The Council may, by Resolution, designate any street or alley within the <br /> City as a one-way street and said Resolution shall designate the one specified <br /> ~ection in ~ich vehicles thereon ms~ lawfully be moved. Provided, however, <br /> that no such Resolution shall become effective until the Director of Public <br /> Works b~e caused signs, giving notice of the fact that wh~clas thereon are <br /> required to move in one specified direction only, to he posted at all entran- <br /> ces to the street or h~hway or part thereof affected by such Resolution. <br /> <br /> Said signs shall indicate the direction of lawful traffic movems~t. <br /> "SECTION 3262. Saw~.. Violation of One-way Traffic Prohibited. <br /> <br /> Upon those highways, streets, alleys and parts thereof designated in amy <br /> Resolution adopted under authority of Section 3261 hereof and Section 459 of <br /> the Vehicle Code requiring one-wa~ traffic on,v, in the indicated direction <br /> and ~hon signs indicating the direction of traffic have been erected as pro- <br /> vided for herein, movement of any vehicle in the opposite direction is pro- <br /> hibited.
